June 2-3, 2012  Calgary Ukrainian Festival -Calgary, Alberta

June 2-9, 2012  Carifest - Calgary, Alberta
Summer heats up in Calgary with the annual Carifest, celebrating Caribbean culture.   Mouth’s water at the mention of our “Curry”, “Stew”, “Patty”, or “Jerk” and lines form by the hundreds for a taste of our favourite dishes. We know that ginger actually makes a good beer, the saltier the fish the better, and the best part of an ox just might be his tail. July 22, 2012  Kensington Sun & Salsa Festival - Calgary, Alberta
Taste a variety of salsas created by restaurants in Kensington for the salsa tasting competition.
The streets are filled with bands, vendors, dancers and more. Pub patios get packed with revelers out to enjoy the sunshine. While families and friends check out the food and fun atmosphere, they can also head to the Children's Carnival area for family orientated fun.
